# fixself Remote Repair Service — Risk Consent Form & Terms of Service (Full Version)

Version: v2 · Published: 2026-08-26

## 1. Scope of Service

We are the fixself engineer team. We connect to your computer or phone remotely to inspect, diagnose, and repair it. During the connection, we only look at system status relevant to the repair (disk space, memory usage, system settings, error logs, etc.). **We will never proactively access or browse your photos, documents, chat history, account passwords, or other private content.**

We offer a free trial from now until 2026/10/31 (limited to low-effort service items). After connecting, we first verify that the actual condition matches the issue you described when placing your order. If it does not match, we will provide a quick diagnostic report and end the session, without expanding the scope of work on our own.

## 2. Possible Risks

Before entrusting us with your repair, please carefully read the following three risk disclosures:

1. **System update / settings change compatibility risk**: System updates or settings adjustments may cause compatibility issues with your existing software or peripherals; some features may need to be readjusted by you afterward.
2. **Data migration interruption risk**: While moving or reorganizing large numbers of files, unexpected events such as power loss or network interruption may cause some files to be lost or corrupted. We recommend backing up important data before the repair.
3. **Some hardware / firmware cannot be repaired remotely**: Certain hardware failures (e.g. motherboard, soldered or built-in components) or firmware write failures cannot be fixed remotely and may require in-person physical service.

## 3. Our Commitment

- **Ask first, act second**: Any system settings change, file deletion, or file move will always be explained to you and explicitly confirmed before we act — never the other way around.
- **Best-effort support**: Whether or not the repair ultimately succeeds, our engineer team will do everything in our power to help you through it and provide follow-up recommendations.
- **Encrypted connection**: The entire connection is encrypted, and you may disconnect or remove the service at any time, for any reason or none.

## 4. Scope of Liability and Force Majeure

We are **not liable** for losses caused by force majeure during the repair process, including but not limited to:

- Physical failure of a hard disk or storage device
- Interruption during firmware writing
- Sudden power loss
- Data corruption caused by network interruption

That said, we commit to helping you understand the actual situation immediately, and to providing reasonable follow-up recommendations (such as professional data-recovery channels or backup options).

## 5. How This Consent Takes Effect

This consent form must be **carefully read and checked as agreed** on our website before a repair request can be submitted. Requests cannot be submitted without checking "Agree." You may contact us at any time through the website or customer support channel with questions about these terms.
